  • Get in-kind support (engineering, technical, equipment, materials, knowledge, data) that is non-dilutive (no equity hit)
  • Help raise funding (VC, Government, & Corporate VC)
  • Attract corporate partners (i.e. co-development, licensing, funding, customer revenue, OEM, marketing, and manufacturing)
  • Reduce your funding requirements and equity dilution
  • Corporate Partners are hard to reach, particularly decision makers/key managers
    • get time with them
    • responsiveness & follow-through
    • interest
    • commitment to conference calls & in-person meetings
  • You and your team members are often too busy running the business, raising funding, and other activities to put the time, focus and skills needed to initiate, pursue, accelerate and leverage Corporate Partnerships.
  • If there is a deal to be done, then we can do it! The most prominent reasons a deal does not happen are:
    1. There is no "essence" to be found in a deal. This means that there is no match between the startup venture and the Corporate Partner. For example, you might have a technology that is not fully developed or mature enough, and the Corporate Partner does not have any interest in what they consider to be too early of a stage. In this case, no deal can be made - and the Corporate Partner Connection would not be able to change the outcome.
    2. Personalities. Many times an entrepreneur will find themselves at the negotiating table hearing their "technology baby" discussed and will loose perspective and objectivity, which ends up killing the deal one way or another. This is liken to hearing that your child is not front page magazine model material - and is often taken personally. This is where CPC can help
    3. Unable to find common ground because of some combination of #1/#2.
    4. Being paranoid. "Be prudent but not paranoid"
