About
our workshops
Attendees get to practice and
receive personal coaching on attracting customers, investors
and corporate partners, as well as gain new insights about
their business strategy, funding realities, team issues, corporate
partnering, sales techniques, market positioning, and negotiating
deals. In addition, the special Q&A session with investors,
attorneys, corporate partners, and new venture experts has
been a bonus highlight. The goal is to provide a safe environment
with unique learning experiences to address the key questions
and challenges entrepreneurs are facing in their business
today.
The target attendee for the workshop
is anyone who can use practice and coaching on working with
customers, corporate partners, and/or investors (sounds like
everyone :-) Of course, our focus is on entrepreneurs, tech
start ups, university and other researchers, and small companies...
or anyone that works with these people. Participants can be
a business manager (e.g., CEO, Business Development, CFO,
Marketing) or a technical manager at any level. Regardless
of their experience, they will come out with specific skills
and new ways to position their technology and products to
better attract customers, partners, and investors.
All attendees receive free coaching
tools to help commercialize their technology and grow
their business! Attend
an upcoming workshop or contact PreFlight Ventures to discuss
holding a custom workshop in your area.

The
Art of Telling Your Story
Improve your presentation and business strategy skills. Present
a 10-minute presentation in front of an audience as if you
were pitching your business to investors or a potential corporate
partner. The audience then responds with a critique that is
facilitated by Rick King. Then Rick provides an in-depth assessment
of your presentation techniques and strategy and provides
insights on how to put your best foot forward.
